The East Ridge Police Department is inviting everyone to the 40th Annual National Night Out celebration slated for Sept. 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event will be held in the open field behind City Hall on Tombras Avenue.
ERPD Chief Clint Uselton said the department will provide food and drinks, some candy for the children, along with some yard games.
According to the National Night Out Website, the event enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
