Day Shift August 31
23-011075 – 2100 BLK Duggan Street – Vehicle Abandoned – The resident stated he awoke to find a vehicle abandoned in his driveway and has no knowledge of the owner. The vehicle is currently not registered but was also not reported as stolen. He was told he can have the vehicle towed from his property at his discretion.
23-011082 – 3500 BLK Connelly Ln – Domestic Assault – The resident reported her brother struck her in the face multiple times following an argument over the disposal of the remains of their deceased canine. The man was gone on police arrival. Warrants for domestic assault and driving on revoked driver’s license were sought.
23-011092 – I-24 EB @ Germantown Rd – Assist Fire – Police responded to the Germantown Rd exit ramp from I-24 EB for a vehicle fire. A semi-tractor pulling a trailer full of cattle experienced a fire under the cab. ERPD units arrived on scene and shut down the exit ramp, as ERFD extinguished the fire. No cattle were harmed during this incident.
23-011077- 5300 BLK Greenbriar Road- Theft from a Vehicle- Police were dispatched to this address for theft from a vehicle that occurred on August 30, 2023, between 2000 hours and 2100 hours. The resident stated his Snap-On Toolbox, containing approximately $10,000 in tools, was removed from the bed of his truck.
23-011088- 5000 BLK Newport Drive- Deceptive Practice- The victim called reporting an unknown party claiming to be with Apple scammed her for $1,234.
Night Shift August 31
23-011071 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – During a call for service at this location a party was taken into custody and transported to Silverdale for his outstanding warrant out of Hamilton County.
23-011094 – 1500 BLK Keeble Street – Deceptive Practice – A couple reported they were victims of a phone scam. An unknown person posing as a First Horizon Bank official contacted the woman and told her someone attempted to hack her bank account. The caller went through a series of questions with the victim during which he obtained her personal information. Her husband contacted the actual First Horizon Bank and found someone attempted to obtain $360 from their account in Ohio. The bank blocked the transaction, and no money was lost.
23-011096 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest – Police observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stoplight on Ringgold Road and initiated a traffic stop. When running the provided driver’s license showed Revoked for DUI. He was taken into custody and searched incident to arrest. When Police searched the driver, he was found to be in possession of a schedule II narcotic.
