Day Shift August 29
23-010999- 1500 BLK Heather Street- Suspicious Vehicle- The caller advised of a suspicious red Dodge Challenger driving through the neighborhood. On scene police checked the area but the car was not found.
23-011000- 1000 BLK of John Ross Road- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a female in a nightgown was walking in the street. Police checked the area, but the female was not located. A short time later she was found on Greenslake Road. She was located and given a ride.
23-011006- 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive- AOA- Police spoke with the owner of the house. She advised she had rented the house to a woman, but she had recently moved out. The landlord advised she saw a canine in a crate and called police. Animal Services took over the scene and verified the canine as deceased. Animal Services identified the owner of the canine as using a chip device and the dog’s identity number on the collar. Animal Services took the canine, along with the small crate the canine was in, to the East Ridge Animal Hospital pending a necropsy result. Code Enforcement identified the home as uninhabitable due to the state of disrepair.
Night Shift August 29
23-011023 – 5400 BLK Connell Street – Carjacking – Officers responded to this location regarding a report of a carjacking. Upon arrival the reporting party stated he was attempting to deliver a pizza when three males held him at gun point and stole his vehicle. After putting a BOLO out for the vehicle, it was located by Chattanooga Police on Windsor St. The on-call Detective was notified of the incident and responded. The vehicle was towed by Broome’s to the East Ridge Police Department Lot for processing. CID is following up with the investigation.
23-011016– 6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Shoplifting – Officers were flagged down by an employee of the business due to a suspected shoplifter. Two bottles of liquor were recovered by the employee prior to speaking with the police. The employee stated he did not want to pursue charges but wished to have the suspect barred from the property. Officers issued a trespass warning to the man to which he stated he understood.
23-011028 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – SIA – While at the fueling station police were requested by staff to check in on a party in a white Ford Expedition. Both subjects were checked through dispatch and asked to find another place to park for the remainder of the night. Nothing further.
