Day Shift August 25
23-010846 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Fight – Officers were dispatched on report of a male and female physically fighting near the pool area of a hotel. Police contacted both in the lobby. Witnesses stated the man had shoved the woman into a counter and hit her. He was taken into custody for domestic assault. The woman was found to have warrants through Hamilton County for reckless endangerment for a crime involving a firearm and was in possession of a firearm on this date. Both were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-010843- 100 BLK Fawn Drive- Domestic Assault- Two parties were both arrested for domestic assault against each other. One also had outstanding warrants through Catoosa County for aggravated assault. Both were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-010838 -1300 BLK Laredo Avenue -Theft from Building – The resident stated she observed two toys missing from the residence’s carport: a motorized side by side pink child’s toy with stars and a unicorn tent. She was able to provide a video, from surveillance cameras, of the incident occurring on the evening of August 24 at 2030 hours. In this video two young males are observed carrying the items from the carport. Police are working to identify the parties.
23-010845 – 1300 BLK Greens Lake Road – Suspicious Person – The caller, who was not home, requested police check her residence and the area for a party wearing a blue and white shirt and shorts, after they viewed them walking around the residence on the security system. Police checked the area but did not locate the party.
23-010858 – 1200 BLK S. Seminole Dr – Disorder/Arrest – On a return trip to the residence later in the day, police responded to a possible disorder. On arrival, a man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct after failing to follow officers’ instructions and impeding a police investigation. The original woman was transported to the hospital after sustaining more dog bites to her arm and being severely impaired.
Night Shift August 25
23-010875 – 4300 BLK Bennett Rd – Suspicious Person/ Drug Arrest/ Money Seizure – Police observed three juveniles walking at the East Ridge High School game and could smell the odor of marijuana. After a brief detention one stated he had marijuana on him. A search also revealed digital scales and $730 in cash. He was arrested and taken to JDU.
23-010883— 4214 Ringgold Road— Warrant Service – Chattanooga Police Department got out with a party with active warrants out of the City of East Ridge for failure to appear on an original charge for driving on suspended. He was taken into custody and transported.
Day Shift August 26
23-010888 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Suspicious Person – Police contacted a man who they observed sleeping on the sidewalk near the coin laundry. He was found to have a warrant through Hamilton County for a firearms charge. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-010900 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive – Arrest – Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. As the police arrived, they observed the suspect leaving the parking lot in a blue Toyota Camry. The vehicle was stopped, and a man was identified as the suspect. Officers also noted the presence of an approximately 3 yr. old female in the vehicle. Both the man and female driver were found to be in possession of fentanyl. The man was arrested and charged with theft, possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment. The woman was found to have warrants through Hamilton County for distribution of methamphetamine. She was arrested and charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment.
Night Shift August 26
23-010919-3100 BLK Ringgold Road-Traffic Stop/DUI Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling without their headlights activated. Police conducted SFST and the driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
23-010901 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious person – Police got out with an elderly man who appeared to have been asking people at for a ride. The man was identified and asked the police for a ride to Signal Mountain. Police gave him a courtesy ride without incident.
23-010914 – 300 BLK Dunlap Ave. – Shots Fired – Police were dispatched to the 300 BLK of Dunlap Ave regarding shots fired. Upon arrival, the witness stated that he heard multiple gunshots being fired near his residence and had seen a black sedan speeding southbound on S. Seminole. Police searched the area for shell casings, suspicious vehicles, or any possible victim. Police could not locate any evidence of a shooting.
23-010920 – 500 BLK S Sweetbriar Ave – Traffic Stop /Arrest – Police Observed a vehicle driving recklessly on S. terrace and continue down S Sweetbriar Ave. While speaking to the driver, police observed illegal narcotics in plain view. A search yielded 1.6 grams of cocaine & 1.3 grams of Methamphetamines. He was charged accordingly.
23-010921 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest/DUI – Police received a call for a male who seemed to be intoxicated at a local gas station. Police located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle due to its expired registration. The man was subsequently taken into custody for Driving under the influence and Tennessee’s Implied Consent Law.

23-010939 – 5000 BLK S Terrace – Disorder – Police responded to the movie theatre after being told the entire audience in one auditorium were fighting. On scene, eight juveniles were being unruly and were asked to leave. One juvenile attempted to push past officers to get back into the theatre and was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. He was found in possession of marijuana after a search was conducted inside the jail. JDU will be seeking those charges.
23-010942 – 4400 BLK Ringgold Rd – Forgery/ Narcotics Arrest x3 – Police responded due to a female attempting to pass a bad check. On the scene she was found in possession of a stolen check. She was found in possession of Fentanyl Pills, Fentanyl Powder, Xanax, and paraphernalia. Two others fled the scene and were found minutes later. They were in possession of more stolen checks and 59 Fentanyl Pills. They were charged accordingly.
23-010959 – 7609 Standifer Gap RD – Warrant Service – Police served three East Ridge Warrants for Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia while the subject was incarcerated at the Hamilton County Jail.
23-010956 – 7609 Standifer Gap RD – Warrant Service – Police served a man with three East Ridge Warrants for Possession of Schedule II / Fentanyl, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Public Intoxication while incarcerated in the Hamilton County Jail.
23-010945- 4400 BLK Ringgold RD- Property – While on a fraud call, Police were flagged down by an unidentified male. The male handed police a lost wallet and stated no money was inside. He also stated there was no driver’s license to identify the owner. Inside the wallet was a School Staff I.D. There were also miscellaneous cards with the same name. The wallet will be placed in the East Ridge Police Department property room.
23-010955- 100 BLK Margaretta LN- Miscellaneous- Dispatch advised police that a Spanish translator was needed for a phone call. Police contacted a woman who stated that she was at work when two subjects came to her home while her two juveniles were home alone. She explained that an unknown female came knocking on the front door, claiming to have air pods pinging at this location. A few hours later, the unknown female returned with a male allegedly holding a gun and accusing the kids of having the air pods. The kids had never seen these two subjects. A report has been produced. Extra patrol will be needed for this area.
