RINGGOLD _ Catoosa County Animal Control is working in partnership with VCA Catoosa Animal Hospital to provide convenient, low cost clinics to register and vaccinate cats and dogs against rabies.
Two rabies clinics will be available at the VCA Catoosa Animal Hospital, 3150 Boynton Drive, Ringgold:
- Saturday, May 6, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 13 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
“We encourage pet owners to come see us at the clinics, because they’re an easy, quick and affordable way to help ensure the health of pets and their owners,” said Catoosa County Animal Control Director Sheree Horton. “We also want to remind pet owners that state and county laws require cats and dogs that are more than 90 days old to be vaccinated against rabies and to be registered annually. Pets should also wear tags that display their registration number.”
Rabies shots and registration will cost $15 per animal. Rabies vaccinations for non-Catoosa County residents will be $10 per pet. A senior citizen discount will waive the $5 registration fee, for a net cost of $10 per pet. Payments in cash, check, or credit card will be accepted.
