Day Shift February 22, 2023
23-2164 & 2165- 6510 Ringgold RD-Narcotics Investigation- Officers made contact with several individuals on the upper floor of the Stay Express Inn motel and discovered multiple rooms rented by the same individual. Police were given consent to search both upstairs rooms. After concluding that search officers identified an additional suspect. That person was detained. Police identified a wanted fugitive in that additional suspect’s room. Officers arrested the subject who had nine outstanding warrants for narcotic sales. He was taken into custody along with two others. A search warrant produced 8.5 grams of fentanyl and a total of 4.5 grams of meth.
23-002159-1100 BLK Sewanee-Theft- Resident contacted police for a theft report after her package from Amazon was stolen off her porch.
23-002162- 4400 Bennett Rd- Domestic Assault- A woman was arrested for Domestic Assault for allegedly assaulting her granddaughter.
Night Shift February 22, 2023
23- 002184- 5300 Ringgold Road at Altamaha Street- Arrest-other- During a traffic stop, police discovered a large quantity of merchandise in the vehicle. One of the passengers admitted the merchandise was stolen. He also had several warrants out of Sessions court.
23-002188- 5400 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Activity- Police contacted two men at this location after the owner called to report that he could see them on video feed inside the automatic wash bay and in the dumpster. One was extremely intoxicated and in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged accordingly. The owner chose not to trespass either party.
23-002190- 1417 Mack Smith Road- Suspicious Person- Police were dispatched after an employee observed a black vehicle with two male occupants in the rear parking lot of the center. While the female party was walking to the gas station, the males began to exit the vehicle. The female party ran to the Fairfield Inn at which time the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed south on Mack Smith road prior to police arrival. Property report is on file due to the vehicle damaging a plastic chain blocking one of the entrances to the center.
23-002191- 4300 BLK Dupont Street- Arrest-Drugs/Theft- Police were called to the area for suspicious male. Upon arrival they located the party. He admitted to stealing a package from Dupont Street, which was in his possession. He also had warrants for theft out of sessions court. When police placed him under arrest they discovered he was in possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and marijuana.
23-002193- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Activity- Police were dispatched to this address for two males removing items from the fenced-in area behind the restaurant. Upon investigation, the two males were delivering seafood.
