Catholic baseball kicks off its 2023 season this Saturday when the team hosts Nashville Catholic.
The varsity game scheduled at 2 p.m., will climax a day in which the school will host a “skills challenge” beginning at 9:30 a.m. That skills challenge will feature contests including fastest base runner, a bunting competition, and one that highlights throwing accuracy. The junior varsity first pitch is slated for noon.
Second-year coach Chase White is returning 10 players off of a squad that went 17-6 last year. The Catholic team finished in the top four of the Independent School Conference.
Catholic will host 12 games this season at it’s field behind Our Lady of Perpetual Help school.
