Day Shift January 24, 2023
23-000968 – 1000 Bass Pro Dr – Theft – Police responded to a theft in progress at Bass Pro. Loss prevention associates stated a female was exiting the store concealing a handgun and stolen merchandise. Officers encountered her as she exited the store. She did not have a handgun but had concealed 10 boxes of ammunition. She was also found to have active warrants through East Ridge, Hamilton County and Catoosa County. She was arrested, charged accordingly and transported to the Hamilton County Jail at Silverdale.
23-000946 – 1100 BLK Rd – Auto Burglary – The resident reported his truck was entered overnight and his pistol was stolen. There is no suspect information at this time. He will call back with the serial number.
23-000954 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Rd – Arrest – Police were dispatched to the report of a male party slumped over the wheel. Police made contact with the driver inside a SUV on the lot. He did appear to be under the influence of a narcotic. He admitted to ingesting Fentanyl that morning. Police recovered two pressed pills and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia from the vehicle. He was taken into custody for Public Intoxication, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
23-000963 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Rd – Harassment – An employee of the business reported a male caller identifying himself as a Regions Bank associate called her, alleging that someone attempted to fraudulently transfer money from her account. The caller instructed her to provide her bank log-in information. She relocated to a local Regions branch and advised the caller she was going to verify his employment with the bank. The caller then stated he knew where she lived and worked, and that he was going to kill her. There is no suspect information at this time.
23-000951 – 100 I-75 N/B – Check the Well Being – Police responded to the Welcome Center after security reported a white cab tractor with a flatbed trailer had remained on the property since Sunday and wanted police to check on the driver. On arrival, security advised the driver left the vehicle due to mechanical issues that he failed to convey to the property staff.
23-000960 – 5600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity – The tenants at the strip mall are requesting extra patrol (especially during the evenings) for homeless parties and suspicious persons on the property and recently finding trash on their back loading areas.
23-000962 – 6700 BLK Jordan Run – Harassment – Caller advised her juvenile daughter is being harassed by other juvenile females while she is in school. The caller was advised that this would have to be handled through the school administration.
23-000948 – 5300 Ringgold Rd – Criminal Trespass Warning- A party was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning after she became argumentative with pharmacy staff.
Night Shift January 24-25, 2023
23-00984 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Police served an arrest warrant on a subject who was encountered by Chattanooga Police and transported to jail without incident.
23-000974 – 1100 BLK Spring Creek Rd – Misc. Complaint – A citizen called in stating he believed his phone was hacked. He told police weird things kept happening but could not give an example. He stated he went to AT&T and they said everything was fine. He told police his phone was asking weird questions like, what is your emergency contact information etc. Police explained to him it sounds like questions for AT&T and iPhones usually ask those questions.
23-000985 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Person – A man was inside the Waffle House bathroom screaming. He is homeless and found his way to East Ridge the last few weeks. He is from Indiana but also has a TN ID with the homeless shelter as the address.
23-000987 – 50 BLK Frawley Road – Suspicious Person – Caller advised a male subject wearing a black hoodie was sitting in a Honda Civic or a Nissan Sentra in the roadway. The caller believed the party to be checking out vehicles. Police observed the vehicle in question which was in fact a grey Acura bearing TN tag BLP6266 which confirmed stolen out of Chattanooga. Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the vehicle fled. Police did not pursue but observed the vehicle crash in the 100 block of Frawley Road and from a distance observed what appeared to be two suspects flee the vehicle on foot into the woods.
23-000987 – 3400 BLK Frawley Street – Disorder – Police were called here regarding a verbal disorder between a man and his girlfriend. The girlfriend fled before police arrival. In addition police filed a DCS report regarding the children in the home because of the living environment.
