Day Shift December 9, 2022
22-016776- 5200 BLK State Line Road- Mail Theft- The resident reported a mail theft that occurred on December 7, between the hours of 1300 to 1600. A packaged delivered by USPS was taken. No suspect information available at the time of this report.
22-016779 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road- Fraud- Police made contact with a reporting party who gave $27,000 to a contractor in August of this year and the contractor failed to complete the work. Police completed a report for fraud.
22-016786-1 BLK Sheridan Rd- Harassment Call– The resident called police to report her ex-boyfriend is driving his vehicle around her house and may have possibly spray painted one of her cameras.
22-016768-10 BLK Germantown Cir- Auto Theft Attempt – The resident called to report her Kia was entered overnight and the dash was damaged along with what appeared to be screwdriver marks around the ignition switch.
22-016770- 3900 BLK Fountain Ave-Attempted Auto Theft- Resident at this address came out this morning to discover the steering column to her KIA had been broken open in an obvious attempt to steal the car. Residents believe their barking dogs scared off the suspects.
22-016780-1417 St Thomas-Vandalism- Hotel staff watched a guest pry open his hotel window and then break open his hotel room door after he locked his card key inside the room. Police made contact with the man and his girlfriend and advised them the hotel staff wanted them to leave. No charges were filed.
Night Shift December 9-10, 2022
22-016793- 1712 Tombras Avenue- Warrant Service- During a traffic stop at this location Robert Hayworth and Adonica Stephens we’re taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
22-016804- Mack Smith Road at Ringgold Road- Arrest- Police contacted Jordan Smith regarding a traffic violation. When police attempted to stop him he fled on his bicycle. Police captured Smith after a brief pursuit. Smith admitted to be under the influence of methamphetamine and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was charged accordingly.
22-016805- 3636 Ringgold Road- Suspicious Activity- Police responded to a call of people possibly fighting at the Cascades. Police were unable to locate any fight but did hear yelling from the Food City parking lot. Police made contact with a party who had broken the window out of his own vehicle and cut his hands in an attempt to retrieve his phone. He was checked by EMS and refused transport.
22-016809- 6514 Ringgold Road- Shoplifting- Police responded to a reported shoplifter at Mapco. Police contacted the suspect who was found to have shoplifted super glue and air fresheners from the store. The merchandise was returned to the business and the business declined to prosecute, but wished him to be trespassed. He was informed not to return and sent on his way.
22-016795- 700 BLK Flinn Drive- Theft by Fraud- Police spoke with the complainant after he observed $2,000 had been withdrawn from his account by a contractor.
22-016799- 1623 Sunray Drive- Domestic Assault- Christine Balderree was taken into custody for domestic assault following a disorder call at this location.
22-016808- 5301 Ringgold Road- Suspicious Vehicle- Police observed a vehicle parked in a handicap spot with no handicap placard displayed and the driver to be asleep at the wheel. Upon making contact with the driver, Amanda Conry, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. After conducting a probable cause search of the vehicle, Conry was taken into custody for possession of meth for resale, possession of cocaine for resale, possession of fentanyl for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
