Day Shift November 3, 2022
22-015204- 1460 Mack Smith Rd- Theft- While working an off duty job at Parkridge East Hospital an officer was approached by security and asked to take a theft report from an employee. The employee reported she had eaten at Cracker Barrel on Monday night and apparently dropped her wallet. The wallet was picked up by unknown suspects. Suspects used a check for $626.00 at the Target on Gunbarrel Rd. The suspects also attempted to use her credit cards but were unsuccessful.
22-015207- 3500 Cathy Lane- Disorder- The caller advised he was about to shoot a kid then disconnected from dispatch. On scene police were advised a local mental health consumer was observed going through the caller’s mailbox. The juvenile male was located and turned over to his mother.
Assist Other Agency-Pursuit- Fort Oglethorpe Police requested assistance with the pursuit of a Chevrolet pickup. The vehicle had rammed several FOPD patrol cars. ERPD responded and took over the chase, successfully deploying department issued spike strips. The chase terminated on Lee Highway with the assistance of CPD and HCSO. The driver, Mitchell Frady, was wanted for parole violation (GA) and garnered several new charges. The truck was reported as stolen during the pursuit.
Night Shift November 3-4, 2022
22-015218- 1 Stadium Way- Aggravated Assault- An armed security guard was heading home from his shift at CHI stadium when he observed a theft in progress. The security guard witnessed a white male subject attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a parked vehicle. The security guard tried to stop the crime from continuing by drawing his firearm attempting to detain the suspect and two accomplices. The suspect quickly entered an Orange Chevy HHR. The suspect presented a handgun and fired shots at the security guard. The security guard returned fire. The suspect fled the scene Southbound on Mack Smith Road. The suspect was accompanied by another white male and white female who were already in the HHR when the security guard first arrived. The security guard was not injured. It is unclear if the HHR or any of the suspects were hit by the gunfire.
22-015229- Ringgold Rd at Germantown Road- Fugitive- Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested Kenneth Hill for outstanding warrants out of sessions court.
