Police Briefs for October 31

October 28 – Day Shift

22-014909- 7609 Standifer Gap Rd- Warrant Service- Natashia Neighbors was arrested on an outstanding East Ridge Forfeiture Capias for Possession of Meth for Resale while at Hamilton County Jail.

22-014897- 700 BLK S Moore Road- Auto Theft- Police responded to this location in reference to a theft of a vehicle and trailer. Over the course of the day the East Ridge Police Department recovered both the vehicle and trailer separately in Chattanooga. No items were stolen from either. The owner responded on both instances to retrieve their belongings.

22-014908- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service- Mercedee Fallins was arrested at this location for driving while suspended.

22-014900-950- Spring Creek- Auto Burg- The reporting party contacted police after discovering his car had been burglarized overnight at the apartment complex. A backpack taken from the vehicle was found a short distance away.

22-014917-950- Spring Creek- Auto Burg- Another resident of the complex was a victim of a burglary of her car overnight at the apartment complex. A green purse and wallet, taken from the vehicle, was found a short distance away.

22-014902- 5300 Block Matthews Dr- Delayed Accidental Discharge- A Juvenile male found a gun in the glovebox of his mother’s boyfriend’s car and discharged it into the floorboard of the car. The juvenile notified the elementary school of the incident. CPS report was filed and there were no injuries reported.

22-014906- 1600 Block Prigmore Rd- Delayed Verbal Disorder- A reporting party stated she had on-going verbal disorders with her partner and was needing help getting out of the situation. Police provided resources to help.

October 28 – Night Shift

22-014930 – 1000 S Seminole- SIA- Police contacted a male subject riding a moped at a low speed, traveling north on South Seminole. The male subject told officers his name; however, dispatch was unable to locate his information. Upon searching his person, police did not locate any weapons or narcotics. Officers took pictures of the male subject along with his moped due to a recent shooting in Georgia involving a male subject riding a moped.

22-014931- 183 I-24 EB Off-Ramp-Public Intoxication Arrest- Officers were called to the area after a TVA Police Officer got out with a driver sleeping in his vehicle in the roadway. The driver of vehicle was identified as Kevin Nieves of Atlanta, GA. Nieves was under the influence of alcohol. Nieves was taken into custody.

22-014934- 5800 Ringgold Road- Crash-Property Damage- After being released from a traffic stop, the driver of a pick-up truck backed into the police car. Hamilton County investigated the crash.

22-014944- 6642 Ringgold Road- Arrest-Warrant- Qudarius D. Smith was arrested on an East Ridge warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

October 29 – Day Shift

18-000274- 7609 Standifer Gap Rd- Warrant Service- Shamberlie Dobbins was arrested on an outstanding East Ridge warrant for Vandalism from 2018.

22-014634- 4214 Ringgold Rd- Stolen Plate Recovery- Police responded to the East Ridge Police Department due to a concerned citizen locating a license plate on Bennett Rd. The license plate confirmed as stolen was subsequently removed from NCIC and placed into East Ridge Property and Evidence.

October 29 – Night Shift

22-014966- 4000 BLK Belvoir Pines Drive- Aggravated Burglary – The complainant called to report that his home was burglarized. The caller advised he has been in custody at the Hamilton County jail for the past thirty days. The complainant stated once released, he arrived home to find his home had been unlawfully entered and items had been taken.

22-014979- 900 Spring Creek Road- Traffic Stop- Amanda Hernandez was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location. After providing false information to police, she was discovered to have multiple outstanding warrants out of Hamilton County and Soddy Daisy. Hernandez was subsequently charged with criminal impersonation and various traffic offenses.

October 30 – Day Shift

18-014990- 6500 BLK Slater Rd- Suspicious Person- A vagrant was told to move along from this location after police received a call about him sleeping on the property.

22-015002 – 732 Frawley Rd -Disorder- A resident called in regarding the residents in the apartment above her throwing food off their balcony. Incidents have involved trash, watermelon, mac and cheese, chicken legs, and food with maggots on it. This was first noticed over a month ago. Management on site has been made aware and came out to clean up around two weeks ago but the issue is on-going with no resolution as of today.

22-014995- 4900 BLK Maryland Drive- Disorder with a weapon- Billy Sutherland was arrested for two counts of Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Burglary, and Vandalism after he chased the victims at this address with an axe during an argument and attempted to enter the residence using the axe. Sutherland was located in the 5000 block of Delaware and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

22-015005- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service- David King was arrested for an active East Ridge Warrant – Alias Capias Driving on revoked. King was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

1200 block John Ross Road – Fight- Police responded to investigate a fight between a mother and one of her juvenile daughters. It was determined that the juvenile female was the primary aggressor. She was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Assault. She was transported to JDU.

October 30 – Night Shift

22-015012- 4914 Court Drive- Crash-DUI- William Underwood was taken into custody for DUI and open container law following a traffic accident at this location.

22-015017- 1410 Mack Smith Road- Found Drugs- Police responded to this address and met with Budgetel staff who stated they located suspected steroids in the parking lot. The vile was collected and secured in evidence. No suspect information currently.

22-015024- 182.2 Interstate 24 West Bound- Traffic Crash- Police responded to a request for assistance from Chattanooga police on a traffic crash at this location. A tractor trailer truck had left the roadway and crashed in the woods lining the interstate. The driver was transported to the hospital by EMS.
