Police Briefs for October 24

Day Shift October 21, 2022

22-014567 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Rd – Disorder Prevention-

The complainant wanted police to assist her in locating her child’s stolen cell phone after she thought she found its location using the “Find My Phone” application on her phone. The caller stated the app guided her to a room at the hotel. The reporting party failed to understand that the app could not direct her to an actual room number but instead a proximate area in the non-specific geometric shape representing the building. When the complainant attempted to use the app to show police the room she identified, the app took her in a different direction than what she originally tracked. Police offered to report the phone as stolen, as she had yet to do so, but the complainant refused to do so.

Night Shift October 21, 2022

22-014610 – 6700 Ringgold Road – Field Interview –

Police located a female concealing herself behind Dixie Land Fireworks. She stated she was waiting for a ride to work behind the building so that she would not be kidnapped. A Field Interview was completed.

22-014590 – 1700 BLK Heather Street – Back Other Agency –

Murfreesboro PD asked police to make contact with the homeowner at this location. The license plate registered to the homeowner was used in felony burglary at a Best Buy in Murfreesboro. Attempted to ID the suspect but no contact was made.

22-014607-3400 Gail Drive- Domestic Assault –

Milton Valasques was arrested for domestic assault at this location against his girlfriend.

22-014595 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft –

An unknown female walked behind the counter and stole an employee’s purse. Suspect: female, mid 40’s, blonde dreads, white sweatshirt. Left on foot Westbound.

22-014599 – 809 Germantown Road – DUI/Crash –

Vicente Santo was arrested for DUI following a single vehicle crash at this location.

22-011946 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service –

Police served two East Ridge arrest warrants on Jason Brammer. Brammer was already incarcerated.

22-014630 – 4320 Bennett Road – Fight –

Officers broke up a large fight after the football game in the parking lot. The crowd quickly dispersed, after the fight. A short time later officers were dispatched to North Moore Road regarding an assault report. Police discovered this to be a part of the same incident and took the report. No charges are pending from this incident and none of the parties involved attend East Ridge High School.

Day Shift October 22, 2022

22-0114617- 4222 Ringgold Road- Violation of TPO-

Crystal Ealey was arrested for Violation of Order of Protection following a traffic stop.

22-011137, 22-0114618- 4222 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service-

During the above listed traffic stop, Marcus Brooks was taken into custody for an East Ridge arrest warrant. Brooks had eight additional East Ridge warrants as well as Hamilton County warrants.

Night Shift October 22, 2022

22-014655 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – SIA –

A party was criminally trespassed from the Speedway by employees. The man was asking customers if they had a spoon and foil. He is homeless from Chattanooga.

22-014634 – 100 BLK Cecil Lane – Theft From Vehicle –

A citizen reported the license plate stolen sometime between 10/21/2022 and 10/22/2022 at an unknown time.

22-014633 – 6725 Ringgold Road – Arson –

Police were dispatched to this location regarding a pop-up camper that was fully engulfed in fire. Police determined the cause of the fire to be suspected arson. The male and female suspects returned to the scene later in the evening and were identified.

22-014645 – 950 Spring Creek Road– Disorder –

Police responded to a disorder at this location after a female tenant became angry that her cone was removed from her parking spot. The female became disorderly while police were on scene and was advised to stay in her room and refrain from disrupting the peace any further.

22-014654 – 3321 Gleason Drive – DUI –

Yonel Jay Jeanty (Jay) was taken into custody for DUI. Following a traffic stop at this location.

22-014453 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Stolen vehicle recovered –

ERPD verified a stolen vehicle at the Sheriff’s office request. Police discovered the vehicle was still considered stolen from East Ridge, and the victim was notified. The Sheriff’s office got into a pursuit with the vehicle, and it ultimately crashed. Deputies captured the driver, Brandon Cook. Cook had multiple warrants, including aggravated robbery. The vehicle was towed using Friddel’s Wrecker service and removed from NCIC.

22-014649 – 1510 Waterhouse Street – Possession of Marijuana –

Police located eight grams of suspected marijuana inside a vehicle during a traffic stop near 1510 Waterhouse Street. The suspected marijuana was placed into property.

22-01465 – 1300 BLK Swope Dr – Attempted burglary –

Police responded to a burglary at this address. The perpetrator broke a kitchen window and was confronted by the homeowner, before fleeing.

October 23 – Day Shift

22-016458- 1410 Mack Smith Rd- Disorder Prevention-

Police assisted a party retrieve personal property at this location.

22-014659- 2000 McBrien Rd- Arrest-

Jevonnie Womble was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Hamilton County warrants.

22-014674- 3600 Ringgold Rd- Arrest-

Terry Pruett was taken into custody for driving while suspended following a traffic crash.

22-014660 – 6700 Ringgold Road- Check Well-Being-

Police were dispatched to check the well-being of a homeless, elderly female party in a wheelchair. Police contacted the female, who was fine, and requested assistance to get across the street in order to get a ride from a Wendy’s employee. She was provided said assistance.

22-014694 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Criminal Trespass –

A man was trespassed from returning to Dollar General, after he attempted to shoplift.

22-012648 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service –

Police served Rhiannon Hudson with an East Ridge arrest warrant while she was already incarcerated in the jail.

22-014702 – 1519 Tombras Avenue – Arrest –

Police arrested an unidentified woman for disorderly conduct at this location. This incident occurred after the woman was found to be asleep next to the city building.

22-014703 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service –

Jeffery Saylors was served with an outstanding warrant for Alias Capias – Driving on Revoked or Suspended.

22-014695 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service –

Dustin Walton was taken into custody for violating order of protection warrant out of East Ridge.
