October 19 Police Briefs

Dayshift October 18, 2022

22-01442- 1410 Mack Smith Rd- Arrest-

Cedric McKenzie was a passenger in a vehicle stopped leaving the Budgetel for an equipment violation. He was found to have active warrants for violating the sex offender registry. He was transported to Silverdale for booking.

22-014447 -Ringgold Rd – Disorder –

A party was criminally trespassed following a disorder with staff after he was at the restaurant asking for food from the customers.

22-014436-Spring Creek Rd- Suspicious Activity-

Parkridge East security reported a male patient who had been discharged was refusing to leave the premises. Police got out with the transient party at a gas station across the street. He advised he was trying to get to Brainerd Rd. He was given a ride to Chattanooga.

22-014441- East Ridge Drive- Auto Burglary-

A citizen reported her vehicles were entered and ransacked overnight. The only item known to be taken was her husband’s empty medicine bottle.

22-014453- Mack Smith Road- Auto Theft-

A resident reported the theft of his gray 2007 Toyota Avalon. It was in the possession of his son when it was stolen. The son said he arrived at residence in the early hours of 10/16/22 and went to a room where he “blacked out.” He went on to say that when he woke up the key fob and vehicle were gone.

22-014440-Lazard- Theft-

The reporting party reported an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle and stole cash.

22-014448- Ringgold Rd. – Shoplifting-

Loss prevention reported two unknown females and one unknown male stole $975.08 worth of baby formula. She stated the same group has stolen from multiple stores in the area and have possibly stolen from other stores as well. CCTV footage was provided.

22-014450- 3636 Ringgold Rd.- Shoplifting-

Loss prevention for Food City reported a male and female couple, identified as Brianna Conner and Chaz Payne from a previous theft, had stolen $103.14 worth of products. CCTV footage was provided to police. Warrants will be sought.

Nightshift October 18-19, 2022

22-014482 – Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Vehicle / Missing Person –

Police contacted a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was in a parking lot of a closed business. Police spoke with a female sitting in the vehicle. The female was identified and was found to have been reported as missing and endangered on October 18, 2022, at 1800 hours out of Walker County, Georgia. The woman was given a ride back to her residence due to her being out of gas and not being able to get anyone to come pick her up.

22-014465 – 941 Spring Creek Rd – Arrest –

Mickey Shurette was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Retaliation for Past Action following a call at this location. Once at the Hamilton County Jail, Shurette became angry and spit in the face of the responding officer. Warrants will be sought for Assault on a Police Officer.

22-014463 – Stateline Rd. – Theft –

Police responded to a call for a theft at this location. A child’s dirt bike was stolen the night before. The mother is attempting to collect more information on the bike to send to Police.
