The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
July 12 Day Shift
3320 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):
Police came into contact with Garth Belk who was observed sleeping in the parking lot. Belk stated he was homeless. A check for warrants showed active warrants through the Sheriff’s Office.
3500 block Connelly Lane (suspicious person):
A caller reported seeing a female pulling on his front door and snooping on his property. Contact was made with Susan McKenzie who was arrested on active Hamilton and Catoosa County warrants. (21-009945)
4338 Ringgold Road (warrant service):
Elise Wheeler was arrested on East Ridge warrants at Food Lion following an anonymous tip. (21-009952)
1417 St. Thomas Street (well-being check):
Officers checked on a patient who was at the Motel 6 after walking away from an area hospital. The patient was found to have several county warrants. He is under hospice care and was not taken into custody per HCSO due to his declining health. (21-009953)

Night Shift
4214 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-009961):
Billy Wilson surrendered himself on East Ridge warrants. He was taken into custody and transported to Silverdale.
375 Camp Jordan Pkwy (Aggravated Assault 21-009966):
A female victim stated she exited a vehicle after a verbal disorder with her male friend, Jamal Donoso. She stated he then attempted to hit her with the vehicle as he sped away. Warrant to be sought for the arrest of Donoso.
1600 block Truman Ave (Aggressive Dog 21-009967):
Police responded to a residence where a dog was being so aggressive towards the owners they retreated out of the house. The dog attacked a member of the family on 07/11. Officers were able to use OC spray to corner the dog in a room where it could be contained until morning.
4339 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-009969):
Tion Mathis was issued a misdemeanor citation for unlawful possession of a firearm. Mathis was transported to Silverdale on Hamilton County warrants.
3100 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-009970):
Derrick Summers Jr. fled the passenger side of a vehicle East Ridge Police attempted to stop on Ringgold Rd. The vehicle failed to stop until it was on Westside Drive in Chattanooga. Summers had refused to let the driver stop and demanded he keep driving. As the vehicle stopped Summers exited the vehicle dropping a firearm and fled the traffic stop. East Ridge Police and Chattanooga Police located the subject a short time later as he was discarding another firearm. He was charged with evading arrest, two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and tampering with evidence.
